On the weekend of Nov 11-12, eleven TCAC swimmers participated in the ODAC Senior Meet at Ft. Eustis. The swimmers combined for a total of 52 individual events and one relay. Our swimmers had 14 personal best swims! Swimmers getting personal bests were Jessica Gonzales, Kevin McLain, Zack Motter, Andrew Vevoda, Ashley Vevoda, and Amanda Waterman. There were also two TCAC Records broken at the meet. Zack Motter broke the boys 15 and Over 400 IM record (previously held by Marshall Daniels) with a time of 4:28.55, and Zac Paryzek broke the Boys 13-14 1650 record (previously held by Jonathan Zink) with a time of 17:15.17. Keep up the good work and start focusing on the upcoming December meets!

TCAC participated in another meet this past weekend, 2-4 November at the MAC. Fifty swimmers combined for a total of 215 swims. 73% of the swims resulted in personal bests and 14% resulted in improvements in time standards! Great swimming!! A special “Good Job” to those TCAC swimmers that have made the jump from Y meets to USA meets. The first meet or two can be intimidating but it gets easier.. Keep up the good work! Swimmers that improved time standards at the meet include: Jackie Benedict going from B to BB times in her 100 IM and 50 Free; Jennifer Chen going from B to BB times in her 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free and 200 IM; Sean Crittenden going from BB to A times in his 50 Fly, 100 IM and 100 Breast; Carlton Dean going from BB to A in his 200 Free; Deion Dean going from B to BB in his 100 Back, A to AA in his 100 IM and AA to AAA in his 200 Breast; Joshua Jung going from BB to A times in his 500 Free and 200 IM; Bill Lin going from a B to BB time in his 100 Free; Simon Marian going from BB to A in his 1000 Free, and B to BB in his 200 Fly; Zac Paryzek going from AA to AAA in his 200 Fly, BB to AA in his 200 Back, and AAA to AAAA in his 500 Free; Liz Rind going from a B to BB time in her 100 Free; Peter Romero going from B to BB times in his 200 IM, 200 Breast, 100 IM, 50 Free and 500 Free; Jenna Schaff going from B to BB in her 50 Free; Andrew Vevoda going from BB to AA in his 100 Free, and BB to A times in his 200 IM, 100 IM and 50 Free; Eric Wolf going from A to AAA times in his 1000 Free and 50 Fly, A to AA times in his 200 Breast and 100 Fly, and AA to AAA in his 200 IM. This meet also saw 11 new TCAC records set which included: Katherine Smith in the girls 9-10 500 Free with a time of 7:37.91, Deion Dean in the boys 11-12 100 Breast with a time of 1:11.69, Joshua Jung in the boys 8 and Under 50 Free, 500 Free, 50 Fly, 100 IM and 200 IM with times of 33.09, 6:41.03, 35.20, 1:23.27, and 2:51.37, respectively; and Zac Paryzek in the boys 13-14 500 Free, 1000 Free, 200 Back, 100 Fly and 200 Fly, with times of 4:56.55, 10:13.91, 2:13.32, 58.54, and 2:06.69, respectively.
